Object - process of government regulation of energy-efficient development of the national economy; aim - the substantiation of the theoretical and methodological foundations of state regulation of the formation conditions of energy-efficient development of the national economy; methods - observation, analysis, abstraction,systematic studiesand modeling; novelty - developed directions of state policy of energy efficiency, which are based on the harmonization of interests of society, the state and subjects of entrepreneurial activity in the economic, energy, environmental and social, and improved theoretical approaches concerning the formation of conditions for the development of the energy system of the country, its structure and the relationship between the structural elements were investigated, principles of energy efficient development were developed, the conditions and environment were highlighted, opportunities to use energy efficient processes and leverage in the national energy system were identified; results - the forecast of state power system has been developed, the condition and dynamics of the fuel and energy balance of Ukraine has been analyzed; field - economics and management of the national economy.
