Essay

Object of research - workflows in the flow path of the turbomachinery equipment. Objective - improving energy efficiency of high-power steam turbines by enhancing the thermo-gas-dynamic properties of the elements of the turbine flow paths. Research methods - mathematical modeling techniques of three-dimensional flows of viscous medium and numerical studies of steam flows in the flow path elements, method of experimental research of the model turbine compartment. Theoretical and practical effects - recommendations for design improvements of turbine flow paths developed in the dissertation may be used in the creation of new and modernization of existing power equipment of thermal and nuclear power plants. Novelty - based on the comprehensive computational studies using methods of numerical solutions of equations there are proposed ways of creating effective high-pressure flow paths through the use of of large chord profiles of guide vanes and modernization of geometry of meridional contours and exhaust nozle chambers. Degree of implementation - the obtained results are used at OJSC "Turboatom" when creating and modernizing the existing power equipment of 200-330 MW steam turbines. Area of application - turbine construction
