Gnid R. The Peculiarities of the clinical course, treatment and prevention of periodontal diseases for persons living in the region polluted with the sulfur.

The Dissertation is devoted to the efficiency of complex treatment of periodontal diseases in patients living in the region contaminated with sulfur. It's found that the inhabitants of the sulfur region has the prevalence of periodontal diseases at 88,22 1,73%, with a predominance in the structure of generalized disease (67,62 3,05%). Physico-chemical, biochemical and immunological studies revealed that the mechanisms of periodontal disease by the action of sulfur compounds and the essential meaning has the increase of the acidity of the oral and gingival fluid, strenthening the processes of lipid peroxidation and lowering the antioxidant capacity of oral fluid and a violation of local immunity of the oral cavity. It's pathogenically grounded and developed the medical-prophilactic schemes with use of Holysal-gel, Polyoxidonium and herbal extracts "Femodent". It's proved the effectiveness of its clinical and laboratory applications.
