Glushan O. Scientifical, pedagogical and public activity of S. V. Borodaevsky (1870 - 1942)

The dissertation is devoted to a complex research of scientific, pedagogical, public work and scientific heritage of S. Borodaevsky. On the basis of the analysis of a historiography of a theme and a wide range of the sources, considerable part of which is introduced in scientific use for the first time, the basic stages of his vital and creative way are reproduced, formation and evolution of outlook and scientific interests of the scientist are tracked, the maintenance and the basic directions of his scientific, organizational, teaching and public activity are described in the work. The participation of the figure in work of the governmental structures of Russian Empire, the Ukrainian State of the hetman of P. Skoropadsky, UNR times of Directory is covered, his contribution to development of co-operative movement in Russian Empire at the beginning of ХХth century and creation of independent Ukrainian co-operative system in days of the Ukrainian revolution is found out. The role of S. Borodaevsky in the organisation of a cultural-educational, scientific and public life of the Ukrainian emigration in Cheho-Slovak Republic is characterised. The scientific heritage of the scientist is analysed, his contribution to studying of social and economic history, in particular history of the Ukrainian and world co-operative movement, is defined.
