Malizderskyi R. Justification of arch dam reliability under uncertainty of natural factors

Dissertation is devoted to developing methods for an arch dam reliability justifica-tion by means of weighted probability of failure on the dam. To accomplish the task being set, there was analyzed the current state legislative and methodological basis of justification the arch dams reliability, also there was analyzed feasibility of attraction the methods of the reliability theory for the purpose to overcome the uncertainty of natural factors and perform probability assessment of the reliability of dam, there was proposed a systematic approach to assess the reliability by means of con-sistent involving of systematic and parametric reliability theories methods, there were de-veloped generalized hypothetical scenarios of accidents on the arch dam, there was devel-oped the method of probabilistic estimation of rock rests stability and strength of arch dam body, and the generalized probabilistic reliability evaluation of arch dam Nam Chien (Vietnam) with taking into account the uncertainty of design method was performed.
