Dissertation is dedicated to the research of the motor vehicles' thefts investigation problems. Elements of criminalistical characteristics of motor vehicles thefts are analyzed (types of thefts, criminal assault subject, criminal identity, place and time, circumstances of committing thefts and model traces of crime). Peculiarities of organization and planning of investigation of the motor vehicles thefts are reviewed. Circumstances, subject to indagation, are offered. Forms of law enforcement agencies cooperation during investigation of the motor vehicles thefts are determined. Elements, influencing the process of the organization of investigating such crimes, are provided. Investigative actions of the initial investigation stage are analyzed and model tactical operations specific for investigations of the motor vehicles thefts are offered.
