This thesis focuses on the study of rhythmical organization specific for German political speeches and prosodic features determining their effectiveness. Basic rhythmic units of German political speeches as well as their perceptive and acoustic parameters have been established. Rhythmization of German political speaking has been characterized through the prism of its main prosodic means and their interaction. Prevailing rhythm forming techniques have been singled out. The research elaborates a methodology pertinent to the experimental study of rhythmical organization of public speeches and offers a theoretical approach to the analysis of prepared public speaking.
