Essay

The thesis presents a study on the symbolic and tragic principles of lyric poetry. The connection of the symbol as a category and the tragic category appeals to the common genesis which is actualized during the further development. The interaction of the symbolic and the tragic concepts is interpreted as the contradictory antinomic correlation. The complex architectonics of the lyric poetry is characterized as the creative form of dual interrelation The movement from aesthetics to poetics determined the analysis of the specific lyric genre. The poetics of this genre focuses its attention on the the categories of the lyric subject and the lyric plot. The poetics of the book of verses was analysed on the material of B. I. Antonych's poetry.
