Object - the management process of the gas industry strategic potential in Ukraine; goal - developing the theoretical and methodological bases and practical recommendations for the formation of the management system of strategic potential of the gas industry in integration of Ukraine into European energy space; methods - abstract and theoretical, systemic, structural, logical and comparative analysis of economic and statistical, system research; innovation - developed a conceptual model of the strategic potential management of Ukraine's gas industry, based on the intensification of competitive relations in the industry, taking into account the internal capabilities, gas industry resources as a system, the influence of the environment, medium- and long-term priorities such as energy-efficient development of the national economy and providing a steady increase in the competitive advantages of the gas industry in increased threats to energy security of the national economy, improved approaches to the evaluation of economic efficiency of investment projects in the gas industry through the application of real options method and principles of forming strategic competitiveness gas industry; the results - theoretical foundations and methodological approaches to the management of the strategic potential of the gas industry in integration of Ukraine into European energy space. The essence of the strategic potential of complex economic systems and theoretical foundations of strategic potential of Ukraine's gas industry is defined; branch - economics and management of the national economy.
