The object of research. Analysis of influence of crossing of the Russian trotting breed with American standartbreed horse on basic plant-breedings signs and to define his role in the plant-breeding-pedigree work. The subject of study. Genealogical structure, plant-breedings indexes of the Russian trotting breed: playfulness, distance, precocity, measurings, reproductive ability. Methods.Zootechnic, statistical. The novelty of the results. New information is got about influence of blood level of American standartbreed on the plant-breedings signs of the Russian trotting breed. Grounded an optimum blood level of American standartbreed for the horse of the Russian trotting breed of Ukraine. Certainly the desired of a height in withers and level of speedability for american standartbred sires. The practical significance of the results. Researches enabled to decide a long-term question, namely: whether it is necessary to promote the level of American standartbred and conduct plant-breeding work with the Russian trotting breed of Ukraine in the direction of absorption. It is well-proven that of pure breed of cross-breeds of different level of blood of american standartbred is to remain the basic method of maintainance and improvement of horse of the Russian trotting breed of Ukraine. It is recommended to use crossing with American standartbred sires for produce horses with special blood level. The best stallions are selected for the wide pedigree use. Certainly the most effective cross-country races of lines and variants of family selection. It is developed recommendations from the improvement of horse of the Russian trotting breed in the Dybrovskii, the Zaporozskii and the Limarivskii stud farms.
