Essay

The dissertation describes 165 patients studied in clinical course, laboratory, morphological and virological characteristics of chronic hepatitis C, on the basis of in-depth analysis of statistic there has been provided a comparison between clinical, laboratory, morphological and virological characteristics of this pathology. The correlation between clinical, laboratory, morphological, virological and morphometric characteristics of the nuclei of hepatocytes has been stated. For the first time the diagnostic and prognostic significance of hepatocyte cariometric research has been demonstrated. The necessity of in vivo morphological study of the liver in patients with CHC has been proved. It was found that the leading morphological manifestations of chronic hepatitis C are dystrophic-necrotic changes (protein-hydropic and ballooning degeneration), found in 100% of the cases. It is established that there are no coreliative links between clinical, laboratory, virological, morphological characteristics of patients with chronic hepatitis C and genotypes 1b and 3a, as well as viral load. For the first time in Ukraine on the basis of morphological classification of Knodell et al 1981, a method for diagnosis of histological activity index in clinical and laboratory parameters of blood serum has been developed. For the first time in Ukraine a fibrosis diagnosis on clinical and laboratory parameters of blood serum has been developed on the basis of morphological classification method by METAVIR .
