Essay

The study focuses on research of legal regulation of sustainable land management concerning agricultural lands. Historical, international legal analysis of legislation's development in this area was made. The core of the idea of sustainable development and the peculiarities of its application to the agricultural land use were investigated. Sustainable land management is proved to be the basic principle of land use law. The classification of legal claims to the land use was made. The peculiarities of environmental regulation of different types of agricultural land use (arable land, pastures and others) is investigated. Proposals for improvement of the relevant statutory regulation of land use legislation are formulated.
