Devdera O. Clinical and laboratory study of application of aqueous solutions of detergents for hygienic handling of removable dentures

The thesis is about new solution of actual problems of prosthodontics, focused on efficacy of treatment tactics for patients who use removable lamellar dentures by using disinfectant solutions. Our analysis shows that the obtained parameters that were observed during location of Plastics in aqueous solutions of detergents gives grounds to recommend it for disinfection of dentures made of acrylic plastic. In the study of the influence of aqueous solutions of detergents on the physics-mechanical properties and strength parameters of basic plastics shown that significant changes in linear dimensions and volume of the samples did not happen. 56 patients with 89 removable dentures were investigated for the work. The results show that with increasing of the term of using dentures, their hygienic condition worsens despite of the fact that patient took care of their dentures. Relying on laboratory studies and clinical observations, we concluded that our proposed hygienic cleaning agent for dentures will deprive dentures on soft sediments, and in 95,6% of cases it reserves from solid deposits and does not change the color of plastic.
