Essay

Objective: government authorities' clerical documents on the history of social and cultural development of Ukraine during the period of new economic policy; goal: analysis of higher and local government authorities' clerical documents as sources on the history of social and cultural development of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic during the period of new economic policy; methods: historical method, method of objectivity and comprehensiveness, historical and typological method, historical and comparative method, historical and genetic method and method of historical and political analysis; results: classification of clerical documents is introduced; complex of sources on the subject is outlined; unexplored historical sources are introduced to scientific appeal; succession of recommendations, aimed at further study of office work documents on history of social and cultural development of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1921-1929, is developed; novelty: for the first time in domestic historiography a complex analysis of office work documents on history of social and cultural development of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic during the period of new economic policy is conducted; namely constituent, planned, current, fixing documents; normatively prescriptive documents of collective and individual origin; also the level of their informing for learning history of social and cultural development of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic is determined; industry: historiography, office work documents' study and special historical disciplines.
