Ivin A. Selection and evaluation of genetic lines and families Ukrainian steppe white pig breed at the different methods of selection and use of sires improving prepotency

The object of researches is Process of forming of productive signs of pigs of the Ukrainian steppe white breed depending on the linear belonging and types of prepotency producers. The purpose of researches is determination of efficiency of existent methods of estimation of pedigree value and prepotency genotypes and their improvement on the basis of conformity to the law of inheritance of selection signs. The methods of researches are zootechnics, selection; biometric; economic; analytical. Results of researches: 1. For a theory - new knowledges in relation to the use of mathematical models for prognostication of fattening qualities of animals of the Ukrainian steppe white breed of pigs on the basis of the data got in early ontogenesis are First got. The selection index of estimation of male hogs-producers on fattening and meat qualities is developed. 2. For practice - Introduction of methods of complex estimation of hogs with the use of selection indexes, probit-metod, and also estimations in similar and contrasting variants of selection are provided by the rise of efficiency of selection, productivity and selection value of producers, and also is instrumental in the rise of rates of genetic progress, to abbreviation of interval between the generations, terms of test of animals and receipt of additional income at a level 4120-9114,5 UAH calculating on 100 goals of the fattened sapling. The sphere of the use is the economies on growing of pigs of Ukraine.
