Lazebnyk I. Anxiety disorders in patients with metabolic syndrome X (clinical psychopathology, pathopsychological, and treatment aspects)

The thesis presents a complex study of anxiety disorders in patients with metabolic syndrome X, the definition of clinical and phenomenological features of these disorders, the development and implementation of effective, integrated methods of diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders in patients with metabolic syndrome X. Was studied 201 people with metabolic syndrome X, and 105 people without signs of metabolic syndrome X (control group). The study found a close relationship of anxiety disorders in patients with metabolic syndrome with the presence of hyperventilation syndrome, their high intensity and duration compared with the control group. Scientifically based, developed and implemented a method for the diagnosis of anxiety disorders, and functional method of treatment of anxiety disorders by affecting the hyperventilation syndrome.
