Yeryemyeyev O. The Genesis of Liberal Political Tradition in Canadian Political Thought (the end of XVIII - the beginning of XXI centuries.).

The dissertation is devoted to the research of the liberal political tradition in Canada. On one hand, it is the integral part of the universal liberal tradition. On the other hand, the Canadian liberal tradition obtained its specific features in the process of its development. The author formulated integrated conceptual vision of the formation of Canadian liberalism, defined the specific features of the Canadian liberal political tradition in the context of the general achievements of the liberal political theory and the practice of its realization. The author investigated the interconnections of the Canadian liberal political tradition with the liberal traditions of Great Britain, Continental Europe and United States of America and also the interconnections between the Canadian liberal political thought with the priorities of the Canadian society's development during different phases. The author analyzed the works of Canadian liberal political theoreticians in their connections with Canadian conservative, social-democratic, communitarian conceptions and with needs of Canadian society's development. The activities of Canadian liberal federal and provincial governments in the context of practical realization of the Canadian liberal political thought were also investigated.
