Melnychuk N. Macrosocial factors of forming the image of a political leader in Ukraine

The dissertation investigates the complex of theoretical and practical problems concerning the formation of the political leader's image in the public consciousness in today's political culture. The image of the political leader is understood in terms of imaginative approach that involves a significant correlation between the terms "image" as a certain depiction that exists in the public consciousness, and "portrait". The term of political image combines different cultural, historical and sociological contents which especially actual today for creation the political leader's image. The dissertation investigates macro factors that determine the nature of the image-stereotype of a national political leader in the public consciousness and determines the features of the national political leader's image-stereotype that exists in a political culture of Ukraine.
