Essay

The present thesis represents analysis on the basis of source studies of everyday life of Greek population of the North Azov region at the end of XVIII - beginning of XX century. In the process of research we defined the extent of scientific examination of the theme and presence of sources connected to everyday life of Greeks in archival depositories and libraries in Ukraine and Russian Federation. Substantial scope of archival documents has been introduced to scientific research, in general discovery work has been performed in 23 funds of 7 state archival establishments in Ukraine and the Russian Federation. In the process of classification the whole body of papers connected to everyday life of Greek population of the North Azov region has been divided according to nomenclature into registers, clerical papers, statistical, mass media, personal sources as well as oral sources. We made a proofed conclusion about representativeness of the activated source database. Thorough analysis of the sources allowed us to make the conclusion that the papers (sources) have significant informational capacity which creates potential possibilities for research of everyday life and allows to study the everyday life of the Greek population in the North Azov region on the high scientific level.
