The dissertation is devoted to the study of theoretical and methodological problems associated with the initial phase of the investigation of crimes against the environment. As a result of generalization of investigative practices, questioning police investigators and prosecutors, and literature recommendations and suggestions that promote effective organization and tactics of a separate investigation, as well as identifying common investigative situations and versions initially investigating crimes against the environment.
