Essay

The thesis deals with the analytical investigation of gauge field theories on the lattice in the plaquette formulation. Plaquette formulation is used to build the dual theory in explicit way because in this case such theory is easy to formulate directly on the dual lattice. As the gauge groups was considered abelian group U(1) and non-abelian SU(N). Perturbation theory for any SU(N) group was elaborated on a basis of the plaquette formulation. For SU(2) case the dual representation was built and also monopole mechanism of the confinement was investigated.
