Essay

The aim of our research is to find out structural mechanism of “open works”. We implemented a complex approach to find out whether it’s possible to use the theory of Umberto Eco as a methodological resource in the present day theory of literature. We proposed and tested the method of analysis of the "open" text using the novel "Name of the Rose". The author specified this concept and implemented its offset from the trivial interpretive relativism. The terms ‘allotext’ and ‘revealing of sense’ are introduced to specify the theory. Methodological task is to articulate the problem of constructive resistance to the interpretative relativism as a pseudo-valuable and applying to occupy the dominative position within the post-modern paradigm.
