Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study Friedl?nder reaction promoted by chlorotrimethylsilane. It is shown that chlorotrimethylsilane in N,N-dimethylformamide can be used as a condensation agent in the Friedl?nder annulation. A convenient one-pot synthetical method for Friedl?nder reaction promoted by chlorotrimethylsilane to obtain building blocks was elaborated. The method can be used under parallel synthesis conditions. A new synthetic approach to 3-fluoro-, and 3-bromoquinolines which relies on organosilane-promoted Friedl?nder reaction of ? -haloketones is described.
