Essay

The thesis is devoted to studying the deposition of inorganic compounds of nitrogen with atmospheric precipitation at the surface of the Black Sea and analysis of its spatio-temporal features, and also an assessment of the influence of this deposition on formation of inorganic nitrogen fields in the surface waters and intensity of primary-production processes. Available publications of studies of the content of inorganic compounds of nitrogen in atmospheric precipitations in various regions of the World Ocean, including in the region of the Black Sea have been reviewed. The dynamics of change in the content of inorganic compounds of nitrogen in atmospheric precipitations has been monitored and studied in Sevastopol and Katsively during 2004-2008 years. The influence of deposition of inorganic compounds of nitrogen with atmospheric precipitations on the content of inorganic nitrogen in the surface waters of the Black Sea has been investigated, and revealed that during warm seasons, unlike cold seasons, this influence is stronger, especially for open areas of the Black sea. The influence of deposition of inorganic compounds of nitrogen with atmospheric precipitations on the concentration of chlorophyll-a in the surface waters has been also studied. It has been revealed that deposition of inorganic compounds of nitrogen with atmospheric precipitations leads to an essential increase in the concentration of chlorophyll-a.
