Essay

Through historical-philosophical analysis, based on the methods of historical-philosophical personology, comparative analysis, historical-philosophical reconstruction and others, we have undergone comprehensive reconstruction of the anthropological perspective in the philosophy of John of Salisbury, which allows us to reinterpret through this anthropological perspective not only ethical and political views of the medieval thinker, but his methodical and logical ideas, particularly his view on the problem of universals, the relations between general and particular. From the historical and philosophical justifications proved that John of Salisbury was a political philosopher and a pioneer, who, despite the "unsystematic" nature of his doctrine laid the foundations of European political philosophy, which were subsequently developed in other authors.
