Malyarenko T. The treatment of patients with season allergic rhinitis supplemented with phytopreparation and topical corticosteroids

Dissertation deals with the problem of increase of efficacy of treatment of patients with an acute exacerbation season allergic rhinitis on the basis of experimental and clinical-immunologic background of the combined pharmacotherapy with usage of phytopreparation and intranasal corticosteroid. 90 patients with season allergic rhinitis and 30 healthy persons were examined. Experimental data were obtained on 107 Wistar line rats rat breeding vivarium of Institute of Otolaryngology. In this work for the first time the immune mechanisms of anti-allergic action of phytopreparation "Rinital" were tested experimentally. The influence of preparation on the manifestation of hypersensitive reactions of immediate and slown-down types was estimated. It was shown that administration of the preparation promotes for noticeable decrease of specific IgE antibodies level in upper respiratory tract and blood plasma. The influence pf preparation on local manifestation of the cellular hypersensitivity was evaluated, too. Proved the better performance of the proposed scheme of treatment due to established influence of each of preparations on own link in the development of pathogenesis of allergic reaction. The latter was supported by results of immune study of the in-dexes of systemic and local immunity. Results of the clinical study proved high efficacy of the combined treat-ment both the basis of subjective and objective indexes as well as by immune and laboratory tests.
