Dissertation is dedicated to efficient monitoring of intraocular pressure in the eyes with altered cornea by developing a new method of measuring transscleral IOP. The transscleral method of modificated sclerotonometry to measure intraocular pressure in the eyes with altered cornea. The thickness of pathologically altered cornea does not affect the measurement of IOP extracorneal methods. The formula was developed that can increase the accuracy of the IOP in the eyes with leucoma cornea for use by ophthalmologists in a clinic conditions. Designed indications to use methods of measuring of intraocular pressure in the eyes with altered cornea: a method of modified sclerotonometry and transpalpebral tonometry are most favorable methods of tonometry on eyes with leucoma and after keratoplasty with opacque transplantat.
