Essay

In dissertation was found new relations between polarization correlation and spectral characteristics of the field and structural parameters of polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLC) and proposed new methods of diagnosis of PDLC. With the transmittance of polychromatic radiation through PDLC, there is a shift of the transmission spectrum to long-wavelength region. Combination Mueller matrix elements can separately identify parts of the structure of the samples. PDLC allows spatial frequency filtering of radiation. By measuring the statistical parameters of the field, one can determine the size of droplets of PDLC.
