Essay

An object of the research: a production process of the catalyst of high-temperature CO-shift conversion that is based on coprecipitation of Iron (III), Chromium (VI) and Copper (II) cations using raw materials that don't contain sulfur, and catalyst's reduction. An aim of the research: creation of physical-chemical bases of production of the high-temperature CO-shift conversion catalyst with defined properties using raw materials that don't contain Sulfur. Methods of the research: spectrometric, X-Ray, thermo-gravimetric, chemical methods of material analysis and complex of physical-mechanical methods. Theoretical and practical results: on the basis of worked out scientific regulations and obtained experimental data a new raw material, sequence of high-temperature CO-shift conversion catalyst production steps and a new method of catalyst's reduction were proposed. Novelty: physical-chemical features and extreme conditions of coprecipitation of Chromium (VI) compounds with Iron (III) and Copper (II) hydroxo-compounds from chloride raw materials were determined; features of aging process of sediment based on Iron (III), Chromium (VI) and Copper (II) hydroxo-compounds were defined; possibility of Fe2O3 and CuO reduction to Fe3O4 and to Cu by urotropin was theoretically validated and experimentally confirmed, manufacturing and kinetic parameters of this process were defined. Degree of introduction: results of the research have been introduced in the educational process of NTU "KhPI". Industry of the use: scientific results of the research can be used in further scientific developments in field of catalysis, and also on enterprises of chemical industry.
