Essay

Thesis is devoted to study the clinical course of chronic antritis (maxillary sinusitis) and the aggravation in chronic odontogenic antritis (maxillary sinusitis) when in the scheme of treatment there are applied the medicines with pro- and prebiotic effect. There have been examined 80 patients with aggravation of chronic antritis (maxillary sinusitis) and 40 with chronic odontogenic antritis (maxillary sinusitis). Both groups were divided into equivalent basic and controlled subgroups. In controlled subgroups the patients were under traditional scheme of treatment according to the protocols for rendering stomatological help. In the basic subgroups the traditional scheme of treatment was enlarged with probiotics of system operation "Lactovit forte" and prebiotics "Lysodent" which were applied locally into the sinus in ante- and postoperative periods. It has been ascertained that in the basic subgroup where there are patients with the aggravation of chronic odontogenic antritis (maxillary sinusitis) the surgical intrusion was possible in average two days earlier than in the controlled one. By doing dynamic bacteriological study the titre of microorganisms was decreasing more rapidly with the patients under pro- and prebiotic medicines and after of the treatment the inoculated microorganisms were 2,5 times less which the controlled subgroups. Radiographic and endoscopic picture with the patient treated under the proposed scheme was better in both periods: immediate and remote (12 months later) after treatment beginning. On the basis of the received data there have been developed and patented the methods of treatment for chronic antritis (maxillary sinusitis) and aggravations in chronic odontogenic antritis (maxillary sinusitis) when the traditional scheme of treatment includes pro- and prebiotics. We also have revealed that the patients of both basic subgroups were in the hospital 2 days less comparing with the controlled ones. Thus there has been ascertained high therapeutic efficiency of the conducted medical activity aimed at the patients with odontogenic maxillary sinusitis.
