Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to pre-treatment and post-treatment diagnostic efficiency of non-invasive tests in the detection of Helicobacter pylori infection for children, the impact of anti-Helicobacter pylori therapy of parents on the re-infection rate of Helicobacter pylori for children with successful eradication, and the impact of Helicobacter pylori re-infection during 12 months after treatment of children with successful eradication on clinical and morphological manifestations of gastroduodenal diseases. It is established that 13C-urea breath test had the highest efficiency in pre-treatment and post-treatment diagnostic of Helicobacter pylori. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of Helicobacter pylori stool antigen test were lower than those for 13C-urea breath test but higher than for Helicobacter pylori Ig G serology test. The Helicobacter pylori Ig G serology test had the lowest sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value. As the result of made research the use of Helicobacter pylori Ig G serology test was found unreasonable because of its relatively low sensitivity and specificity during both pre-treatment and post-treatment diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori. The necessity of determination of Helicobacter pylori-status for parents and anti-Helicobacter pylori therapy of infected parents to lower the re-infection rate of Helicobacter pylori for children with successful eradication are proved. Expediency of determination of Helicobacter pylori-status for children with successful Helicobacter pylori eradication after 12 months since treatment by 13C-urea breath test is grounded.
