The thesis is devoted to the issue of increasing diagnostic efficiency and monitoring progression of GON after two-stage surgical treatment of POAG. The results of clinical-ophthalmic examination of 318 eyes in patients divided into three groups according to the type of surgical treatment were analyzed. The effectiveness of surgical two stage intervention was investigated - DNS (deep nonperforatings clerectomy) + Nd:YAG-LTT and DNS (deep nonperforatings clerectomy) + phacoemulsification + Nd:YAG-LTT compared with the DNS (deep nonperforatings clerectomy) according to the achieved IOP level and RA HRT-II - using statistical Kaplan - Meier method. The diagnostic efficiency using methods measuring IOP (DCT dynamic contour tonometry (Pascal), PTM pneumotonometry, ETG electrotonography) concerning GAT Goldmann Applanation Tonometer in the postoperative period was defined and their interdependence was determined. The expediency of performance terms of Nd:YAG-LTT phase in two-stage glaucoma intervention was determined. After comparative evaluation of stereometric parameters of HRT-II with delta=0.03 units a significant dynamics deterioration in 3-6 months of observation was defined. For the timely diagnosis of GON progression it is recommended to pay specific attention to the mean RNFL thickness and RA, which show changes from 3 months of observation.
