Myroshnychenko I. International Legal Aspects of the Cities Residential and Public Development Lands Use and Protection

The thesis is dedicated to the investigation of international legal means in order to solve one of the most pressing problems of our time, related to intensive urbanization and corresponding increase in urban population, inevitably accompanied with significant economic, social and environmental pressures on the cities residential and public development lands, which are the main residential area for the majority of the world population. The thesis proves that compliance with international standards of sustainable development, spatial development and planning, environmental protection and protection of the cities residential and public development lands provides the best means to minimize the negative effects of urbanization.
