Mygovych V. Optimization of asthma treatment combined with metabolic syndrome considering main pathogenic ways of its development

The research object is clinical and pathogenetical features of combined course of asthma and metabolic syndrome components; the goal is improvement of the treatment for the asthmatic patients, combined with metabolic syndrome, by examining of the main clinical and pathogenic features of their flowing and interaction influence. Methods are: clinical, biochemical, instrumental, statistical. Novelty is to defined clinical and pathogenetical peculiarities of metabolic syndrome in patients with asthma, to identified pathogenetic mechanisms of onerous influence, to develop a scheme for combined treatment with atorvastatin and telmisartan. It is introduced into the practice work of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Hospital (departments of allergology and rheumatology), of the Ivano-Frankivsk Central City Hospital (departments of internal medicine and rheumatology), Kalush City Hospital (departments of internal medicine and pulmonology), Kosiv and Galician central district hospitals, into the pedagogical process of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Bukovina medical universities.
