Essay

Dissertation covers a microbiological study, an experimental substantiation of a complex use of probiotics and antibiotics against the background of pharmacological correctors of acid-base balance within the gastrointestinal tract. There presented the results of studying a microbial spectrum of the bacteriocins of the most frequently used probiotics: bifidumbacterinum, lactobacterinum (Lactobacillus), colibacterinum, bificolum; the dependence of antimicrobial activity of isolated bacteriocins on a nutritional medium pH; the susceptibility of isolated bacteriocins to antibiotics; a potentiating influence of bacteriocins on the general antagonistic properties of probiotics. The potentiation by acid pH values of the ability of probiotics to produce bacteriocins has been found. At neutral and alkaline pH values, the bactericide activity of bacteriocins with respect to staphylococci has been proven to reduce 2.2 and 4.8 times as much and with respect to blue pus bacilli has been proven to reduce 1.4 and 3.3 times as much, respectively. Probiotics have been proven to exceed significantly the respective resistance of dysbacteriosis causative agents. A synergetic compatibility with antimicrobial properties among bacteriocins and acid-resistant antibiotics has been determined. A model of the reproduction of a drug-induced intestinal dysbacteriosis in Guinea pigs has been developed. The efficacy of a complex scheme of treating intestinal dysbacteriosis using probiotics, antibiotics, and black alder (Alnus glutinosa) has been confirmed experimentally.
