Lazarenko Y. Management of innovation activity intensification in small business

The thesis is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodical positions and practical recommendations for innovation activity intensification management in small business. The essence of concepts "innovation activity" and "intensification of innovation activity" is specified and their interconnections to the other categories of innovation management are presented in the thesis, the key distinguishing features of the innovation activity of small enterprises compared to medium and large enterprises are grounded. The current state of innovation activity of enterprises of the national economy is analyzed and the main trends in the innovation processes development in Ukrainian small business sector are identified. There is author's methodical approach to assessing the level of innovation activity of small enterprise, which reflects the determination of the integral composite indicator of innovation activity formed on the general indicators of the resource, efficient and management components in comparison with the average values of the same indicators for the investigated set of small businesses. Theoretical and methodological principles of grouping small enterprises by level of their innovation activity indicator are improved ("innovative leaders", "innovative followers", "innovative outsiders"). Priority directions to improve management of innovation activity intensification of small national enterprises are identified by the results of research.
