Sereda Y. Formation of evidence in criminal proceedings of Ukraine.

The dissertation deals with the complex research of the mechanism of formation of evidence in criminal proceedings of Ukraine. In the dissertation the historical aspect of the formation and use of evidence in criminal proceedings has been analyzed; the modern idea of evidence, their procedural sources and general principles of formation and use in criminal proceedings have been described and foreign experience in this activity has been disclosed; problematic aspects of the mechanisms of formation and use of evidence in criminal proceedings in the stages of investigation and trial have been identified; the rights and responsibilities of persons, eligible to form and use evidence on the stages of investigation and trial, have been described and suggestions for their improvement have been made.
