The thesis is devoted to the study of patterns and mechanisms of compaction and consolidation of the single- and two-phase powder mixtures under thermobaric loading and its application to development of the intensive electrosintering (IES) technology of diamond-containing composite materials (DCM) with metal matrix. With aid of the devel-oped computer-aided system for monitoring the parameters of IES, an effect of the pT-parameters on the shrinkage kinetics and evolution of structure and physico-mechanical properties of DCM has been investigated. The thermally activated plastic deformation is proven to be leading mechanism of densification due to IES.
