Essay

The thesis is devoted to definition of Oposhnya clay properties, its structural-mechanical characteris-tics and possibility of use at oversized ceramic products. Using complex analysis of clays by Oposhnya field it has been determined its chemical, mineralogical composition, and structural-mechanical characteristics. It has been established the possibility of its utiliza-tion for chamotte producing for art and building ceramic instead refractory chamotte. The technology of forming masses for ceramic producing has been elaborated. It is studied the phase formation process, technological parameters of chamotte producing for art ceramics and ultra-lifght brick technology. The introduction of the 0.1 % sodium silicate and 30 % of chamotte on the based on Oposhnya clay № 5, 6 and 7 can reduce the operating humidity of slurry without compromising its performance. It is shown that regardless of the type of foaming compositions with increasing clay content № 7 in slurries based on non-plastic kaolinite clay, promotes normative physical and mechanical properties of fired chamotte ultra-light brick ШЛ-0,4.
