Kobylynska T. Statistical Study of Using Land Resources of a Region

The aim of the thesis is the study of theoretical positions and develop practical recommendations and suggestions for improving land statistical monitoring, new techniques of statistical and economic analysis of sustainable land use. The object of study is the statistical information about the availability and use of land resources in the region. The subject of the study is a set of theoretical and methodological aspects of the statistical study of land use in the agricultural sector of the regional economy. Research methods: general scientific, specific methods and techniques of knowledge, induction, deduction, analysis, synthesis, bibliographic, abstract and logical, statistical, economic, ranking selective. Scientific novelty lies in the development of recommendations and suggestions to improve statistical monitoring and analysis in land use. First: - based on specially conducted statistical surveys using software and methodological foundations of statistical observation provided statistical characterization (evaluation) of land resources in the region - prompted the formation of a unified statistical accounting information system of land resources based on administrative reporting. Improved: - system of statistical indicators of land use through its structuring and adaptation to existing administrative information provision - methodological foundations validity of results of surveys of agricultural enterprises to improve the efficiency of processing and analysis of information. Further developed: - generalization techniques available methodological approaches to statistical analysis, which allowed to identify key areas of improvement of methodologies - adaptation methods correlation and regression analysis to study the relationship between indicators of land in farms - methods of grouping districts using cluster Analysis. Summary of the thesis used in practice: the State Statistics Service of Ukraine (№ 06/1-09/687, 07.11.2012), the State Statistics Service in Zhytomyr region (№ 06/01-50/73, 10.05.2012), General Department of Agricultural Development Zhytomyr Regional State Administration (№ 2651/4, 08/10/2012), and introduced in the educational process, Zhytomyr National Agroecological University (№ 1820, 17.10.2012).
