Prydannykova Y. Statistical analysis of economic growth and material welfare of the population

The purpose and objectives of the study. The purpose of the dissertation is to theoretically generalize and substantiate the scientific and methodological foundations of a comprehensive statistical analysis of economic growth and material well-being of the population, forecasting and modeling related socio-economic phenomena to create an information-analytical basis for management decisions. The object of research is social phenomena and processes that shape economic growth and material well-being of the population, and their interaction. The subject of the study is the theoretical and methodological provisions of the statistical study of economic growth and material well-being of the population in Ukraine and the regions. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is as follows: for the first time: - a formula for calculating the coefficient of the relationship between the economy and material well-being of the population has been developed, which allows a comprehensive statistical assessment of these areas in statics and dynamics. The proposed approach involves determining the achieved level of development of a particular region of the country (object of assessment) as a whole and separately in the areas of economy and material well-being, which is the basis for the formation and implementation of relevant public policy based on monitoring the proposed system of statistics; - a model of the relationship between economic growth and material well-being of the population has been developed, which increases the importance of analytical substantiation of economic standards in order to achieve the optimal level of material well-being of the population in the process of state planning of regional and national development programs; improved: - the conceptual apparatus in the field of statistical analysis of material well-being of the population as a complex category, covering the concept of level and quality of life. This approach allows us to define the material well-being of the population as a factor in economic growth and as a generalized result of public policy in the social sphere. Concepts such as "standard of living", "quality of life" and "welfare of the population" are classified with the division of the latter into tangible and intangible components; - methodological bases of statistical research of regularities of dynamics of incomes of the population and its expenses per capita on the basis of the constructed system of statistical indices; received further development: - methodological approaches to statistical analysis of economic growth and material well-being of the population, which allowed to generalize the theoretical foundations of the model of the relationship between the levels of economic development and material well-being of citizens and characterize the methodology of statistical assessment of relationships management of sustainable development of the country; - methodological provisions for assessing the main indicators of the achieved level and quality of life of the population; - scientific substantiation of methodological aspects of forecasting the volume of gross domestic product per capita of Ukraine for 2020–2023 by methods of regression analysis and statistical equations of dependencies.
