The dissertation is a monographic study, which is based on the provisions of the general theory of criminology, scientific developments on methods of investigating crimes, summarizing the investigative and judicial practices, and foreign experience of legal regulation of gambling and specific features of methods of investigating occupation of gambling, as well as recommendations for its use when investigating crimes. The paper provided characterization gambling as a forensic information model, defined by its elemental composition and provided a detailed description of each item. The paper also highlighted the features of the preliminary stages of investigation and subsequent occupation of the gambling business, formulated common investigative situations that arise at the initial stage of investigation and inquiry plans offered are typical, depending on the selected investigative situations. Based on the survey investigators selected the most common investigations conducted in the investigation of occupation gambling at all stages of investigation, as well as peculiarities of expertise in the investigation and the role of public and media.
