The Ph.D. thesis is devoted to investigation of mesomorphic transitions manifestations in Raman spectra of two thermotropic liquid crystals - 4-(n-hexyloxy) phenyl-4'-(n-octyloxy) benzoate and 4-(n-octyloxy) phenyl-4'-(n-hexyloxy)benzoate, to the analysis of the influence of differences in molecular structure on the mesophase dynamics of these substances, the analysis of structuring process and formation of molecular aggregates in chromonic liquid crystals. Aggregation process was investigated for one of the most studied representatives of chromonic crystals - chromolin (DSCG).
