The thesis under consideration comprises a complex study of the pancreatic exocrine insufficiency exposure in 102 adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus. On the basis of clinical, instrumental (abdominal cavity ultrasound investigation, fiberoptic gastroduodenoscopy, рН-measure) and biochemical (indexes of carbohydrate, albuminous, lipid and pigmental exchanges) researches, data on secretion of fecal elastase-1 and gut hormones (cholecystokinin and secretin), as well as genetic researches, the early signs of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency are registered in 61,8% of patients. The research presents the algorithm of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency diagnostics against the background of type 1 diabetes mellitus.
