Essay

The results of research work on the chronic hepatitis C, which takes place against the background of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and the effectiveness of treatment are uncovered in the dissertation work. In these work was confirmed presence of two main factors that cause development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in patients with CHC: metabolic risk factors and direct viral influence. It was found that in patients with CHC and concomitant NAFLD, in the presence of metabolic risk factors, are often recorded and more severe clinical manifestations of the disease, more severe violations of the functional state of the liver, higher cytolisis of hepatocytes, while the accompanying virus-induced NAFLD do not significantly influence clinical-laboratory course of the disease. Influence of concomitant NAFLD, depending on the metabolic and viral risk factors, on liver fibrosis and efficacy of antiviral treatment were uncovered in research work.
