Essay

The object of the research is the process of formation and development of seed industry. The aim of the research is the grounding of theoretic bases and working out of the practical recommendations for efficiency improvement of organizational and economic development of seed industry in agriculture. The methods of research: system and structural analysis and synthesis, statistical, economic, economic regionalization, method of SWOT-analysis, method of economical and mathematical modeling, method of target-oriented approach. Theoretic and practical results: the concept of strategic management of seed industry development which is based on innovations, stable investments, integration, and cooperation of producers with governmental support is grounded. This concept is directed at efficiency increasing of seed industry and its functions, improvement of its structure and management, accelerating of its development with the help of innovation and investments, providing of governmental support, regulation of seed market, and improvement of seed productions' competitiveness. The novelty of research: working out of the applied recommendations as for improvement of organization and efficiency of seed industry which is based on innovation, cooperation and integration of scientific and industrial activity and state support. Degree of implementation: Results are taken to use by the Department of Agricultural Development of Mykolayiv Administration, Mykolayiv Regional State Seed Inspection, LLC "Golden Ear" Zhovtnevyy district of Mykolayiv region, Mykolayiv National Agrarian University. Scope - agricultural economics and agribusiness.
