Krup'yak I. Financial support for the development of depressed areas

Object of study – the formation and use of financial resources for the development of depressed areas in a market economy. Purpose of the research – theoretical basis and identification of ways to improve the financial security of depressed areas. Methods – comparison, grouping, conceptual analysis, indexation method, normative forecast method, multivariate analysis, economic and mathematical modelling. Results – summarized theoretical backgrounds, practical research of financial support development of depressed areas, developed recommendations for financial support improvement. Novelty – grounded approach to financial security of overcoming depression in areas, based on consideration of constituents and selection of financial resources to ensure the development of depressed areas; improved interpretation of the definition of “depressed areas”; аn approach to determine the level of financial support for the development of depressed areas in the implementation of the integral calculation of given level; improved analytical assessment of the financial condition of depressed areas; formed directions of financial strategies to overcome depression areas; offered directions of state financial incentives of depressed areas; methodical approach to forecasting the development of depressed areas. Results have been implemented in the activities of the financial management of Ternopil Regional State Administration, the Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine in Ternopil region, the financial management of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the learning process of Ternopil National Economic University. Scope of application – the activity of territorial bodies of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
