Essay

The object is the development of the museum thought in XV - XX centuries. The aim is the comprehensive study of the museum thought and the process of museological discipline formation since the late Renaissance to the late twentieth century. Generally scientific methods - analysis and synthesis, systematic and structural; concrete historical methods - genetic-historical, typological-historical; special historical methods - historiographical analysis and synthesis, problem-chronological, periodization, classification and scientific criticism sources. The dissertation is the first comprehensive study of the museum thought since the late Renaissance to the late twentieth century considering its transformation into a separate museological discipline as complex and multi-industry knowledge that has its own identity, the subject of research, problem field, theoretical and methodological framework, research groups and institutions as well as national, regional and international scientific societies. First time in domestic humanities the discourse, which was formed from the combination of different competing projects of theoretical and methodological base of museological studies in the second half of the twentieth century is investigated. Research of some stereotypical interpretation of synonymity of concepts "museology" and "museum studies". Scope - the learning process.
