This research paper is devoted to the analysis of English lexical and phraseological units associated with the traditional wedding ceremony in terms of their correlation with the English ethnic culture and worldview. Various English dictionaries and modern literary works by English and American writers (1980s - 2011) as well as ritual microtexts served as the sources of our data. Particular attention has been devoted to the study of the lexical-semantic and structural features of the lexical and phraseological units associated with the English traditional wedding ceremony and their connotative, textual and symbolic meanings were revealed.
