Object - the development of the petrochemical complex in the energy security of Ukraine; goal - to study theoretical and methodological approaches to identifying promising directions of development of oil and gas complex of Ukraine, as well as practical recommendations for reducing energy dependence and energy security of the state; methods - theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis, statistical and technical-economic analysis, benchmarking, economic and mathematical; novelty - a promising model proposed oil and gas development, the implementation of which involves reducing energy dependence and ensuring acceptable level of energy security of Ukraine, taking into account the relationship between the level of energy security and basic parameters of oil and gas complex of Ukraine (volumes of oil and condensate, oil transit, oil and condensate, natural gas, natural gas transit, consumption volume of oil and natural gas) and to determine the direction of the effective use of existing energy transit potential, taking into account available resources reduction of energy by maximizing the use of internal reserves to increase domestic oil and gas production and introduction of alternative fuels, the results - rozrobleo theoretical and methodological approaches and practical recommendations for future development of oil and gas industry, to ensure energy security of the country; industry - economics and management of the national economy.
